So the Citrus Festival is no more......I'm not saddened by the loss. How about you? Will you miss the 'fair'?

I like the idea of the Citrus Festival, but I'm not into carnies and rides, so the only time I've ever been was when I was invited to VIP Night. It's sad to see something with such a long history go away, though.

I liked the little museum display and all the fruit. It's sad to see something with such a long history go away, though.

The city of Winter Haven already has this property ready to go with condos and commercial along Cypress Gardens Blvd. It's been planned for at least a year and a half, not that the public would have been given warning or an option to way in. It's sad to see a piece of Polk's history go away to satisfy David Green's need to "railroad" us all!

What's sad Dee Dee is to see you and others blame David Greene for the failure of a seedy, poorly organized bankrupt old relic of yesterday. It long ago lost its luster and the citrus industry itself moved on. You need to do the same instead of spreading rumor and innuendo.
The public at large is just not interested in a carnival anymore.
