Makin' Waves at the News Chief

Posted by Josh Hallett on June 24, 2006 at 09:00 AM

Like many papers the News Chief has a number of vertical advertising sites like PolkAutoFinder.com, PolkDining.com and PolkMD.com. By focussing on one specific topic they can 'target' advertisers and charge a slightly higher premium for ad space.

Currently in design is Makin' Waves, perhaps a watercraft focussed vertical. However the inclusion of a 'Miss Makin' Waves' - bikini shot and all might not play well to the local base.

BTW...never heard back from the NC about what their circulation is.

Interesting - but it's such a small paper.

Circulation: 9,608; Sunday: 9,644.

(Google can be a good friend.)

Says who? The News Chief? As far as I know their numbers have not been independently audited in years.
